This volume of proceedings contains manuscripts from Symposium G, entitled "Impurities, Defects, and Diffusion in Semiconductors: Bulk and Layered Structures." It was held November 27-December 1, 1989, in Boston, MA, as part of the 1989 Fall Meeting of the Materials Research Society. This volume of proceedings contains manuscripts from Symposium G, entitled Impurities, Defects, and Diffusion in Semiconductors: Bulk and Layered Structures.. This volume of proceedings contains manuscripts from Symposium G, entitled Impurities, Defects, and Diffusion in Semiconductors: Bulk and Layered Structures. This symposium was conceived from the view that impurities, defects, and diffusion play key roles in modern-day research and development of semiconducting materials, structures, and devices. As impurities in semiconductors muonium and hydrogen should have many similarities. In principle properties such as structures which depend primarily on their identical adiabatic potential energies should be much the same while dynamic characteristic such as diffusion would be quite different. The experimental results are in fact quite different for the two but for other reasons.

Electronic Structure of Two Sulphur-Related Bound Excitions in Silicon Studied by Optical Detection of Magnetic Resonance - Volume 163 - W.M. Chen, A. Henry, E. Janzén, B. Monemar, M.L.W. Thewalt. A description of the structures, charge states, and the transitions among them for isolated interstitial muonium in covalent semiconductors is presented. This description appears to be general, explaining a wealth of experimental observations on group IV and III–V semiconductors. Observations which support various features of this general description will be presented. Gürer and B. W.
