The thermal decomposition of studtite UO 2O 2 H 2 O 2 ·2H 2 O results in a series of intermediate X-ray amorphous materials with general composition UO 3x x = 0, 0.5, 1. As an extension of a structural study on U 2 O 7, this work provides detailed calorimetric data on these amorphous oxygen-rich materials since their energetics and thermal stability are unknown.

Feb 01, 2013 · The predominant reactor design worldwide is the pressurized water reactor PWR, accounting for two-thirds of the installed capacity, followed by boiling water reactors BWRs at 21% and heavy-water reactors at 14% of installed capacity, respectively. All of these water-cooled reactors use ceramic fuel pellets consisting of UO 2 or other fissile actinide oxides to generate heat. The resulting MNP–chelator–actinide complexes are separated by using a small volume of stripping agent e.g., H 2 O in order to recycle the MNPs for cost saving purposes. This is a simple, versatile, and compact process which is cost effective in terms of the materials and equipment used. arXiv:1906.01303v1 [cond-mat.str-el] 4 Jun 2019 Journal of the Physical Society of Japan LETTERS 125Te-NMR Study on a Single Crystal of Heavy Fermion Superconductor UTe 2 Yo Tokunaga 1∗, Hironori Sakai, Shinsaku Kambe1, Taisuke Hattori 1, Nonoka Higa, Genki Nakamine2, Shunsaku Kitagawa2, Kenji Ishida2, Ai Nakamura3, Yusei Shimizu3, Yoshiya Homma3, DeXin Li3.
