A Semantic Study of the Verbs of Doing and Making in the Indo-European Languages A Dissertation Submitted to the Faculty of the Graduate School of Arts and Literature in Candidacy for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy by Ghen-Ichiro Yoshioka Avesta Reader, First Series Easier Texts, Notes and Vocabulary by Abraham Valentine Williams Jackson. The Semantics of Chinese Classifiers and Linguistic Relativity focuses on the semantic structure of Chinese classifiers under the cognitive linguistics framework, and the implications thereof on linguistic relativity and language acquisition.
